Hero Monk bar for HM?
Hero monks cant use ZB. Tried a ZB prot build with GoH which would be optimal imo, but they just sit there and die and refuse to heal themselves.
Anyone have success with a single monk bar? This is meant for a 4 man party with just 1 monk.

I've tried several HM areas and missions and trying to finish some of those was hell hard with just a prot monk with ZB/Gift of Health, when I retried with two monks (bonder and healer), it was much easier with more defense. You could argue that more damage output can blast enemies apart before they can put pressure on a single monk, but I play a Dervish and I can't put out as much damage when mobs kite or use skill such as Icy Shackles, Crippling Anguish on me.
Or how about a single monk + support Channeling and Restoration Rit:
Monk:
[card]Reversal of Fortune[/card][card]Spirit Bond[/card][card]Zealous Benediction[/card][card]Dismiss Condition[/card][card]Shield of Absorption[/card][card]Balthazar's Spirit[/card][card]Blessed Signet[/card][card]Life Bond[/card]
Ritualist/Monk:
[card]Preservation[/card][card]Essence Strike[/card][card]Splinter Weapon[/card][card]Mighty Was Vorizun[/card][card]Spirit Light[/card][card]Remove Hex[/card][card]Soothing Memories[/card][card]Flesh of My Flesh[/card]

Why are people giving monk heros GOLE? They don't understand that they should use it with high energy spells.

they use it completely fine for me tbh. i'd give them channeling as they always tank mobs anyways, but when they have it they seem to kite and not cast anything so uh..i'll stick with gole.
i usually let them run:
Divert, Shield of Deflection, Restore Conditions << one of these three elites.
bars usually look like this:
[Elite], Rof, Goh, [depending on the area-] Soa or SH for the low level ones with either dismiss or veil, depending if i have an rc or dh, spirit bond or ps for higher level areas,[/depending on the area-] aegis & gole
as stated before, they don't really use ZB at all. i usually run a lod/infuse, and the prot monk is one of these depending on the area, sometimes it's Lina tho, she's fairly good with Shield Of Regen and can keep the aegis chains up also. for canthan areas i plan to bring none of the healer or prot henches because they fail, and for NF i might bring Khim (the zb one).
and for single monk..i wouldn't know really, they seem to mess up everything when it comes to solo monking, i'd take a hench or the SoR build Nkah Sennyt posted -- or i'd just monk it myself.

As I said before they don't know how to use it to save energy. They spam it like every other skill they have. Channeling would be better as you said.

That looks a better skill bar, Holy Veil though is great on monks. They remove it so fast you won't even see the icon on your screen.

my bar / hero for d'alessio seaboard.
bonder (me)
[skill]Mantra Of Inscriptions[/skill][skill]Blessed Signet[/skill][skill]Signet Of Devotion[/skill][skill]Holy Veil[/skill][skill]Vital Blessing[/skill][skill]Life Barrier[/skill][skill]Life Bond[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill]
hero / second monk
[skill]Gift Of health[/skill][skill]Reversal Of Fortune[/skill][skill]Restore Condition[/skill][skill]Signet of Devotion[/skill][skill]Mending Touch[/skill][skill]Deny Hexes[/skill][skill]Watchful Healing[/skill][skill]Resurrect[/skill]
bonding is the winner. Restore conditin build for all the conditions you get. Deny hexes and Divine favor skills for the hexes. Both bars can be improved mind you, but it got me there easily.

As much as I don't really like the skill, heroes tend to do rather well with Glimmer of Light. On a prot monk, heroes definately suck with ZB, but they do pretty well with Restore Conditions.

In a 4 man team with a single healer, I prefer a resto rit with this build:
[skill]mend body and soul[/skill][skill]spirit light[/skill][skill]soothing memories[/skill][skill]vengeful weapon[/skill][skill]weapon of remedy[/skill][skill]protective was kaolai[/skill][skill]wielder's remedy[/skill][skill]flesh of my flesh[/skill]
in 6-8 man teams I rely on 2-3 hench healers

Yea but since they don't pre-veil, Holy Veil < Smite Hex. 20 damage is better than nothing
